Theresa received her 200-hour Integrative Yoga Therapy certification from Yama Studio in Baltimore, MD. She has been teaching adult yoga classes for four years. She has also taught yoga to middle and elementary school students in Baltimore. She received a certification in YogaEd in 2006 and is currently completing the 500-hour level of yoga certification at Charm City Yoga.

Prior to becoming a certified instructor, she practiced yoga for over 10 years. She continuously attends workshops and steeps herself in the practice and philosophy of yoga. Her goal as an instructor is to encourage her students to develop a deeper awareness of their bodymindspirit and to then use this awareness to live a life filled with consciousness, health, and vitality. It is her hope that every class provides students with an opportunity to enjoy movement and exercise, build physical strength and flexibility, relieve stress, and bring balance to all aspects of their being. 

Theresa received a certification in Ayurveda & Thai Yoga Massage, from the Lotus Palm School of Thai Massage in Montreal, QC. She attended her first training in hopes of enhancing her private yoga lessons and discovered a passion for the practice of Thai yoga. Her training included the theory and practice of Thai yoga postures and Sen energy lines. Basic ayurvedic principles were introduced and she was taught how to determine a client's dosha and how to design a Thai session based on this information. In September of 2007, she opened Baltimore Thai Yoga.

Theresa was introduced to Ayurveda during her Integrative Yoga Therapy training and then further developed her knowledge through studies at Lotus Palm School. She uses ayurvedic principles to design individual yoga practices and to create ayurvedic Thai yoga sessions. She has learned to determine a client’s ayurvedic dosha and can provide practical ayurvedic diet and lifestyle tips.

In September of 2008, Theresa will begin the Master of Acupuncture program at Tai Sophia institute of Laurel, MD.
